SGDEN recently held a very successful event in Chipping Sodbury continuing on our theme of isolation and loneliness. We were aiming to attract people who might have contact with isolated people to be able to provide information/training for them to increase their capacity/ability to help potentially isolated members of the community and we were extremely pleased with the turnout and the feedback! The vast majority of attendees have spoken about their plans to take the information away and use it within their communities and we’re excited by the interest this had at the time and since.

We would like to thank our friends at Healthwatch, Curo, the Over 50s Forum and South Gloucestershire Council for the input they each gave in helping make this event a success.

We have been following up on connections since and some of the ideas/feedback we are still collating, which we hope will be of use to the public and to other organisations in fostering new ideas and continuing to collaborate on this theme so we intend to share that via the newsletter and on our website – so keep a look out in future newsletters for more information!

Below are some of the resources from the event – please feel free to share this post.
